Re: Help, Sending Mail
That doesn't match the diagnostics shown
Please try to send a message, wait 90 seconds and then show all logs created
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

#1 your DNS is broken
#2 You have that entry in your local hosts file
If this happens for multiple recipients then that is your DNS that is broken
What DNS do you use (in Windows)? Try using 8.8.8.8 instead - that is Google's public DNS

Re: Help, Sending Mail
I have 2 Servers, on of them is Domain Controller, and i use the DNS of the DC and the Router, which is working perfect.
I tried and change my DNS to Google's Public DNS. Nothing change same error message.
I checked firewall and everything possible and nothing change.
it's drive me crazy, Should i contact my ISP and see if there anything on their side is wrong ?

Re: Help, Sending Mail
hMailserver isn't even trying to reach the internet, your ISP won't help
Open a command prompt on the machine with hMailserver installed on it
and type
nslookup
type=mx
hotmail.com
and then post the results

Your nslookup command syntax is wrong.
At the command prompt, type:
Post the result.
At the command prompt, type:
Code: Select all
nslookup -type=mx hotmail.com

Re: Help, Sending Mail
Breakdown of the response:
This machine is hosting a DNS server, and it's DNS client is configured to use the local DNS server to resolve queries.
A remote DNS server other than the server that is the authority for the zone queried (hotmail.com) has responded to the query. In other words, you cannot be sure that the response is authentic for the domain.
Mail exchange for @hotmail.com is hosted on a server named mx1.norelay.link.net whose IP address is 127.0.0.4.
My guess is that your local DNS server is a caching server and you are forwarding from this server to another DNS server hosted by your ISP (is your ISP link.net?). Your ISP doesn't want you to host SMTP services, so it proxies MX record queries and returns the loopback address.
This is not an hMailServer configuration issue.
Code: Select all
Server: localhost
Address: ::1
Code: Select all
Non-authoritative answer:
Code: Select all
hotmail.com MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mx1.norelay.link.net
mx1.norelay.link.net internet address = 127.0.0.4

Re: Help, Sending Mail
I think your DNS is misconfigured but I'm not sure where. Here a couple of things to check:
1. If you are using multiple DNS servers in the local TCP/IP stack configuration, they all have to be replicas of the same set of zones. You can't use your local server as the first DNS entry and your ISP as the second. This just the way the DNS client works.
2. If you have a Forwarder configured in the local DNS server point to your ISP's DNS server, I'd try removing it or changing to Goggle's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) instead.
