Error code: 10022, An invalid argument was supplied

Post by jun » 2011-02-08 08:21

Hi Everyone,

I've just installed the Hmail server 5.3.3 B1879 and mySQL. Base from hmail log file I'm having these issue
"Unable to parse TCP/IP address. Address: mail.smscrewmail.net, Error code: 10022, Error message: An invalid argument was supplied"
Is these something to do with the Hmail queued? Coz its getting bigger and bigger. I tried using the hmail diagnostics and here are the results:

I did also tried using hmail log analyzer. Could someone explain if the error code 10022 is normal?

Diagnostics look good.

I am unsure about this error.
There is no IP address , only a domain name in that error message

Have you added that domain name somewhere in one of the settings, whitelist perhaps
Can you provide some more detail about when you get that error. What are you trying to do at the time? Showing the log in the form generated by hMailserver may assist.
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

I'm still not sure what that error is, however the Yahoo mail servers suspect you of spamming, that's why they aren't accepting mail from you temporarily.
(see your first screen shot). Most of the messages in the delivery queue are to a Yahoo (or ymail) address.

I don't see the message that is triggering the error in your delivery queue. Is that message still in the queue?

There are a few issues.

You were on some blacklists, i submitted a removal for you at https://www.senderscore.org/blacklistlookup/ : The IP: 203.99.233.107 has been submitted for removal.

You are also listed here but can't be removed manually http://www.tiopan.com/blacklist.php

Lastly

rDNS for IP 203.99.233.107 = ip-converge.233.99.203.in-addr.arpa

This should be set to mail.smscrewmail.net you should contact your ISP and ask them to change it.
If at first you don't succeed, bomb disposal probably isn't for you! ヅ

Hi Guys,

I've change mi spf record like these "v=spf1 ip4:203.99.233.107 a:mail.smscrewmail.net a:ip-converge.233.99.203.in-addr.arpa -all".
But still in logging I always encounter the error "Unable to parse TCP/IP address. Address: mail.smscrewmail.net, Error code: 10022, Error message: An invalid argument was supplied" as of today. Could someone explain or elaborate further the error.

Many thanx in advance. :D

I can't see anything wrong with your mailserver from an outside perspective. do you have anything setup in routes or rules etc?

That looks suspiciously like the winsock error of the same name:
Invalid argument. Some invalid argument was supplied (for example, specifying an invalid level to the setsockopt function). In some instances, it also refers to the current state of the socket—for instance, calling accept on a socket that is not listening.
The only time I came across it (nothing to do with hms) it was down to antivirus messing with the winsock LSP, but you'll probably have to uninstall the av to check...
