Ability to send mail from a different IP than the main IP

Postby arvixe » 2009-10-08 03:47

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=16089&start=0 describes the issue in a bit more detail.

Exim has this feature using its /etc/mailips file where you could specify something like this:

*:IP_ADDRESS
domain.com:IP_ADDRESS1
domain2.com:IP_ADDRESS2

And say the server has 200 domains, all emails for the other 198 domains will leave from IP_ADDRESS even if its not the main IP of the NIC (its a secondary IP)
The emails for domain.com leave from IP_ADDRESS1 and so on...

You should highlight your willingness to donate suitably to get this implemented.

Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.
