Hi,
We have a windows dedicated server that we use to host our websites and as an mail server for our outgoing and incoming mail.
We recently sent out an email newsletter to a distribution list of about 8000 email address, this created a massive mail queue and delayed our client’s emails. It also seems some of the recipient’s didn’t receive the newsletter.
Is there a limit on the number of emails hMAilServer can handle in one go?
I noticed that the maximum number of receipts in batch option is set to 100, what is the maximum you recommend this be set to.
Thanks in advance
Wayne.
Delivery of email - maximum number of receipts in batch
Re: Delivery of email - maximum number of receipts in batch
Depends on what hardware/connection you have, and what time you are prepared to wait. you can have 10000 recipients if you want, it will just take a long time to send it.RBP wrote: Is there a limit on the number of emails hMAilServer can handle in one go?

HELP: Big distribution list are blocked by others servers
Hello,
I've also a distribution list wih 9000 members (opt-in). I've noticed that many of recipients won't receive the newsletter because their SMTP server refuses a big number of emails coming from same domain. They consider me as a spammer...
How can I configure Hmailserver to send the newsletter in batch, example, 100 mails/minute ?
I read that tarpitting is for this, but to block spam from others, not to bufferize outgoing mails
Thank you
Thomas
