What do the numbers after Debug, SMTPD etc mean eg 4428 and 4136 ?
I first thought they were the session id for that particualr transaction but I don't think so now.
"DEBUG" 4428 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.499" "Creating session 1291"
"SMTPD" 4428 1291 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.515" "209.194.2.114" "SENT: 220 Are you wanting to have a slurp of my sausage"
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.499" "Running custom virus scanner..."
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.577" "Scanner: "c:\program files\Microsoft Security Client\MpCmdRun.exe" -Scan -ScanType 3 -File "C:\Program Files\hMailServer\Temp\{6F981BC6-ABA7-4E07-97BB-896C0BD230B2}.tmp" -DisableRemediation. Return code: 0"
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.593" "Applying rules"
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.593" "Applying rule Spam"
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.593" "Performing rule action"
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.608" "Performing local delivery"
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.608" "Applying rules"
"DEBUG" 4136 "2014-09-01 06:45:00.624" "Moving message to #Public.Spam"

lovely welcome message
I think it is a thread number, but doesn't match up to much else
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

I was trying to trace the hMailServer actions of a particular SPAM email as it goes through the server and hoping that the numbers refered to the session id or a particualr email.
I think it might be as you said the Thread ID
