Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
look in your windows "services". You should see hmailserver in there and it should be started.
So first, is it in services? If not then your installation probably failed or possibly you are not logged on with correct authority.
Secondly, look in your hmailserver/bin directory at hmailserver.ini file. Check all the paths in there are correct.
Thirdly, which database are you using and is the user and password set in the ini file.

Also look in your windows events viewer which may have errors if hmailserver is failing to start.
This can happen if there are other programs on your system the ports that hmailserver wants to use. i.e. port 25, 110, 143 and possibly some others.
run windows command propmt and type in
netstat -p tcp -a -b
that will show you if anything is using port 25, 110 etc

Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
Ok, so I have another problem. It won't start because I have checked Automatically connect on start-up, so after couple minutes on my screen appears this error message: http://2i.cz/2i/i/51a3ace0/96cffd921125 ... 63b0.f.png. What I should do? When I try to start hMailServer Database Setup I get this error message: http://2i.cz/2i/i/51a3aeb9/6a501eacc383 ... eb38.f.png

Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
I am using MySQL database and WAMP (so maybe the problem is here, because I found this topic http://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewto ... 2c#p136997, but I don't understand how he fixed it)

Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
if you are running 64 bit mysql then you need the 32 bit mysql ddl because hmailserver expects it.
http://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewto ... 944#p85944
you can get a copy of 32bit mysql dll from that link.
Not sure if that is problem because I can't see your pics.

Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
I think I have same problem like this one: http://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewto ... 2c#p136997. I have installed WAMP and hMailServer (I had this problem during instalation: http://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=24606, but it's solved). Everything works fine, but when I restart my PC, hMailServer stop working (when I try to start up it and connect, I get error "retrieving the COM class factory for remote component with CLSID {D6567EF8-0A67-48E7-9288-A2463123C2F3} from machine localhost failed due the following error:8007042c"
Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
I have no idea what that error means.
Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
goto services and look at the dependancy services for hmailserer. Make sure that all the services that hmailserver depends on are running and that they will autostart at machine boot time.
report back if you find anything.

Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
Yeah, well mysql have status starting. I can't do anything with that. I turn MySQL on and off in WAMP, but it still have that same status.
Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
I don't use wamp. I installed everything individually.
So MySQL service is not starting properly. Resolve that and your hmailserver problem might disappear.
check all your logs, mysql, apache, php, and events viewer etc.

Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
That other post that you link to says that MySQL wasn't running under the (?standard) WAMP install.
The other OP had to modify the registry to set the correct MySQL path.
Does MySQL actually start for you? Is there a separate MySQL service? does it show as running? can you connect to it via command line?

Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

Re: hMailServer Administrator won't run
How did you install hmail? Did you run the installer all the way thru with no errors? What version/build of hmail?
You get those errors if hmail didn't install properly, if install got corrupted somehow (such as system restore) or if you run hmail exe's that don't match the version that was installed.
