Indeed Kaan1983. hMail is a great server and it seems it boosted up ppl creativity in finding mail client solutions. Shame I'm not a programmer myself or I would start doing something too. I'm a designer.
I'll try to keep informed in case you release your work. I bet it must be a hard task.
For now I'll keep working with hMail and roundcube. Claros seems promissing. I'll wait for their version 2 to go beyond Beta stage to test it.

Well after a lot of stuffing around installing tomcat i got it working in only pop3 mode. IMAP (still in beta) would not work.
In IMAP Mode i get this error in the inbox message frame.
Running in pop mode it looks very nice.
pop mode can emulate imap folders by creating entry's in a database but its still not the same.
if I could get IMAP working i would be using this as my primary webmail.
I would also recomend running this on a "good server" the one i have it on now is a 900Mhz and ran a bit sluggish.
The version i tried was the "stable" 1.7 with full features.
they are currently in the making on version 2 witch is in beta now i will try this and let you know how i go.

Fast? i spent all morning on it.
Do you considered that to be fast?
I got version 2 (beta) working on IMAP and it is great.
I think i have found my new web mail interface.
It lacks a few features like address book and the such. but looks really good. address book and many other feature are being implemented in the near future.

Re: Claros inTouch
Hi,
I am the lead developer for the claros.org project. Thank you people for giving a try to the new Claros inTouch user interface. Let me tell some news from the Claros inTouch development.
Claros inTouch 2.0 is finally ready. It will be supporting 12 languages from the first release. It has been well tested and is almost re-written from stratch. Beta1 was an unfinished version, it was just for showing what is going on the development process, and it was full of bugs, but it is 2.0 stable is surely ready for the enterprise and more compatible with many more IMAP Server implementations.
You can have a demo of the product with the following credentials if you like:
URL: http://demo.claros.org/intouch2
username: demo.account@claros.org
password: hebelek
Claros inTouch will be released before 8th of June with the new web site and many more features. I hope you'll like it.
Thanks for you interest.

Claros inTouch
In the following releases groupware facilities such as shared calendars, post-it notes will be added from time to time. To accomplish this task Claros must be bundled with a groupware backend system. We are investigating this issue, please keep an eye on this project.

Re: Claros inTouch
Hi umutgokbayrak,
at http://www.claros.org I've only found the 2.0b1 (webmail beta) without post-it notes, chat and with only eng and turkish language...
It's possible to download the complete final version?
I've successfully installed the beta version with hmailserver (xampp + tomcat add + jdk 1.5.012)

I am former SquirrelMail developer working on own webmail package based on SquirrelMail. I don't advertise my package or SquirrelMail. My feedback on issues in other webmail packages is based on my experience. It does not try to discredit those packages and does not claim that my package is better.danny6167 wrote:Or another webmail client?

Hi Thomas,
As far as I know you can install it with IIS. You'll only need to install Tomcat 5x and Java 2 SDK, version 1.4 or newer.
Take a look at the instalation info at http://www.claros.org/products/intouch2 ... ation.html
Stay happy!

its very nice but i have only to problems.
1. if you have a large amount if folders the "folder actions" menu over laps the folder list but is only a problem with people that are folder crazy (me) and have over 20 folders.
2. i have yet to find a way of overriding the default folder layout.
I am currently using thunderbird layout and claros is set for outlook or similar.
One feature i really like is the ability to veiw headers easly.

Hey hey! there you are! Isn't something like 12 PM there?
Thanks for the info.... I found the same problem with the folders but I have to confess that I still didn't have the time to play with it. Still using roundcube. Going to install a new server this weekend and then will give Claros more attention.

WOW !!!!!
umutgokbayrak, this is AMAZING !!! What a wonderfull webmail client you've done.CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Many, many thanks to you and you're development team.I LOVE IT !!!
I've also, installed OpenFire Server to take advantage of the "chat thingy".
How can i change the settings of the "chat thingy" ???

I want the "default", to be: "jabber" with localhost server.
btw: If it's possible to "auto-add" the user, since it's the same that logged-in the webmail ????

do claros and hmail play nice together
This product looks awesome, but before I start installing things, have people been running this with hmail? Does it have a way of changing your password or setting up an auto-responder? I doubt their developers created these features for hmail but has anyone played with coding that?

I'm not a programmer, so i don't dare to "play with the code".
I can tell, that i have installed HmailServer and ClarOS has a webmail client.
It doesn't have the possibility to change password or to setup an auto-responder.
The major advantadge (for me) is the chat feature...wich involves a JABBER server, if you want.

prayathana, that really has nothing to do with this thread.... but anyway, did you try searching these forums? there are tons of threads on Squirrelmail which seems to be the most popular one used with hmailServer. hMailServer has plugins for squirrelmail to allow users to set up their auto-responders and change their passwords as well.

Does anyone know if this project is still alive?
There is no much activity on their forum.
