Facing SMTP Issues with URL Redirecting

Post by rafaelsolano » 2019-01-17 11:16

Hi, I am having trouble configuring the SMTP for my email address. I first tried to download hmailserver and configure it on the PC but it didn't work. When I tried to configure it with gmail or outlook, it kept me redirecting to a different IP address of my WiFi Router.

What is the problem? I am not able to understand.

Regards,
Rafael

Not very helpful description of what you have tried and exactly what happened

Sounds like a DNS Issue within your router
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

It guess it is mostly because of the router but I am not able to understand it. If it is related to DNS, then what should I do?

rubs crystal ball gently while swaying slightly from side to side. There is soft reggae music in the background...

First of all, this is the off- topic forum. Your past has nothing to do with "Such as php.ini, beer, etc etc." I would suggest re posting your question in the general forum where it will receive the proper attention.

Secondly, please try to more precisely ask your question. Without any detail, logs, etc, the people who might try to help are just wandering around in a fog. ("Did you try rebooting your computer?")

Lastly, before you post, please run this and then post the results. https://hmailserver.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=30914

That will help immensely in troubleshooting your issue.

I thought posting it in the general forum won't be relevant. Moreover, I have even tried the routerlogin website - https://routerlogin.onl/192-168-8-1/ but it didn't accept my login details.

If you guys could take a look from here then it would save me a lot of time and trouble. Thanks.

Use Google to search for default login instructions for your router make and model.
