No link on new website to the IRC chat forum

Post by jimimaseye » 2015-01-06 13:04

There is a page containing an available link to the IRC chat forum https://www.hmailserver.com/community BUT there is no page or link on the website pointing to that page. I had to find it using google.

In other words, if you start at hmailserver.com....and look around you will not be able to get to the IRC forum.

Why not on the https://www.hmailserver.com/support page under COMMUNITY (below FORUM) like it used to be?

Back up on support page. (It was actually on the community page before).

Martin, I also noticed dead link on your DOCUMENTATION section of the website too.

Under the
https://www.hmailserver.com/documentati ... elay_tests page (replacing 5.6, 5.5 5.4 etc as necessary), they refer to relay testing with http://www.abuse.net/relay.html. However, this link is now no longer functional and results in them reporting:

Mail relay testing

The relay tester is no longer available. Mail software is rarely an open relay any more unless it is badly misconfigured.

Maybe you would want to remove it as its no longer valid?

ADDITION:
Also the link http://www.hmailserver.com/download/MySQLFront.zip found on https://www.hmailserver.com/documentati ... t_to_mysql is dead. MySQLFront.zip is missing for download.

FYI martin we've talked in IRC about the official channel being moved to (or alternate option be on) freenode multiple times in the past so last week I went ahead & reg'd #hmailserver on FreeNode if anyone wants to check it out. (Get with me if you want founder status) As of now it's just me & ChanServ but we chit chat various stuff. Just today ChanServ was telling me how great lunch was. lol I was tempted to throw my IRC tip/soak bot (currently Dogecoin, PayCoin/XPY or Syscoin) in there but no fun with just me. The official IRC channel on Caspar's server isn't very active besides the regulars who idle 99.9% of the time but perhaps some of that is people not wanting to join a new private server & they might already be on freenode. Anyway if someone wants to check it out join #hmailserver on freenode using favorite IRC client or try their web client:

Cheers!
