As some of you may already know, WinFS Beta 1 was released to MSDN subscribers yesterday -- (the hour-long video at Channel 9 is definitely worth a watch). I was wondering what your thoughts as developer(s) and/or as those more in tune with relational databases are regarding the use of a SQL-like filesystem for something like a mail server. Would the use of a WinFS Store explicitly for hMS offer any advantages in speed or performance? It will really be interesting to see how WinFS develops, not to mention how developers themselves use its technology to set their applications apart from the rest.
