I am not sure that it matters.

It will convert from whichever currency that you choose to your local currency, won't it.

no idea ... I just know that if it bills me in Euro then my bank charges me as its classed as an international transaction, GBP it doesnt. Depends when the conversion happens.

Do banks in the UK charge for international transactions?

Aussie banks don't typically charge for purchases made in another currency, on say a Mastercard or Visa. The conversion rate is geared slightly in their favour, but that's all. They do charge to wire funds electronically to an international Bank.

some do ... mine does as it gives decent interest rates but screws you in other ways (e.g. international transactions), but since I don't do them usually it doesn't matter.

think it depends what type of accoutn you have. Lloyds charged me as well (I'm alliance & leicester at the moment).

Just enter the amount in USD and it will be converted into GBP. Should work, right? :)

hmm ... will find out ... although paypal just did the whole thing as USD and no mention of a conversion to GBP ... so prepare for a verbal bollocking if I get charged an international transaction fee!

Wait a second.. I know nothing about "international transaction fees".. you're doing that on your own risk. :)

Have added GBP now. Should hopefully work...

The donate button is at the top of the screen next to the Contact button with a blue border around it.

I've set up a new new compilation / test server for the donations. Whenever I make a change in the source code, it will automatically retrieve the latest source code, create a new hMailServer build, install it on everything from Windows 2000 Professional to Windows Server 2008 and MySQL/PGSQL/MSSQL (using VMware) and run through 480 different tests in every environment (testing most features, making sure old bugs aren't reintroduced, and more). It's not really in production yet, but probably will be within two weeks.

This will make me a bit more efficient, since running these tests takes 2 hours and during that time my development PC has been unusable (due to high CPU usage with compilations and VMware environments). In short, I don't have to sit and wait for the build to be done any more, it's done automagically while I can write more code...

Maybe I'll put up a "Early alpha of the early alpha"-page somewhere where new versions are, if all tests run through with no errors, automatically uploaded.

That's a great idea. I've been playing around with Arduino lately and plan to connect it to some small dc servo engines. It would be possible to control those engines from the build process. I would need some kind of robotic arms to actually open the fridge, some camera to locate the beer and some other robot to pick it out. Guess I'll have to wait for more donations. ;-)

great stuff ... if its possible to put a front end / config on the build process (so you can use it to deploy / test your own apps) then you could spin it out as a new app for download with suitable donation. I'd be interested for one.

Well, that would be a huge amount of work. At the moment, it's just a console application. Also, there are already similar tools available (even if I created mine myself). For instance, Visual Build from Kinook can build programs and then integrate with VMware and NUnit to test them. Assuming the program has some kind of .NET API which the tests can be run through.

Just found the donation option. Good option to say thank you Martin.
We've been using your product for many years and are very happy with it.
