... again.
I noticed I had no notification of posts for a couple of days.
It has been failing since the 16th May. (No emailing means no joining verification emails and no joining means no spam posts. I guess that's the upside).
I hope Martin sees this message.

I didn't keep track of the date when this started but I am experiencing the same issue.
I did notice that the Notifications were seemingly being made but it seemed that what was failing was the actual sending of the Notification Email.

Didn't at first realize what the significance of the Error you posted in your above posting. Taking a closer look at it, it seems this error must be what I discovered, that the actual notification email was failing and not the creation of the Notification.
Also note: In hMailAdmin>Diagnostics an error will show for the testing of connection to mail.hmailserver.com on port 25:
Test: Collect server details
hMailServer version: hMailServer 5.6.9-B2607
Database type: MySQL
Test: Test IPv6
IPv6 support is available in operating system.
Test: Test outbound port
SMTP relayer not in use. Attempting mail.hmailserver.com:25...
Trying to connect to host mail.hmailserver.com...
Trying to connect to TCP/IP address 5.189.183.138 on port 25.
ERROR: It was not possible to connect.
Test: Test backup directory
Backup directory D:\hMailServer\Settings & Domains Backup is writable.
Test: Test message file locations
Relative message paths are stored in the database for all messages.
Test: Test IP range configuration
There is a total of 126 auto-ban IP ranges.

I can confirm that too as I wasn't notified by a new posting on one of the Topics and I wasn't notified of jimimaseye's post on this topic. Once you are logged into the Forum, you do see the notifications. You just don't get the email which notifies you that their has been activity in the Forum on the Topic you are watching. That is how I was aware of jimimaseye's posting here.
