Seriously, running and maintaining a mail server is practically a full-time job. Do you really want to spend a lot of time (and some time nearly every day) maintaining and patching and dealing with spam and viruses.

Someone else replied saying don't listen to the first guy. He said he spends an hour a week maintaining his mta. It got me thinking. Except for the time i spend once every couple of weeks fooling around with scripts or what have you, i think i spend even less than an hour a week. I get a report every morning thanks to jimi's backup script and i spend a couple of minutes sorting spam once or twice a day and that's about it. Once you get it running smoothly, it runs like a top.

Getting to the point you're happy with things is another story, of course. :mrgreen:
