Is it possible to change included text when virus is found?

Post by nmendes » 2007-04-02 11:06

Hi,

When a message containing a virus is found it's subject is changed to "VIRUS DETECTED: Subject" and body also changed to:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VIRUS DETECTED:
The attachment(s) of this message was removed since a virus
was detected in at least one of them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Body

Is it possible to change both texts that are inserted? Searched all forum and site and could only find this:

http://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewto ... s+detected

Looks like it's not possible (and if not I suggest this feature) but I'm asking anyway to be sure about it.

Thank you!
Nuno Mendes

Or maybe it would be possible not to use the"how to" page for questions.
In Hmail admin go to "settings" --> "Advanced" --> "Server Messages"
and have a look there.

Sorry to post this on To-Do's Forum, I'm a new user and just now realized it was not the proper place to post it.

Thanks anyway but neither messages I want to change are listed "settings" --> "Advanced" --> "Server Messages" so I don't think that's the solution.

hmm interesting...
In hmail admin there is a "VIRUS_NOTIFICATION" message you can change but it would seem that is not the massage that is used.
The message that comes through, I can't fine any ware.
I didn't find it in the hmail admin or in ClamAV config files or anyware.
I had seen the "VIRUS_NOTIFICATION" in hmail admin and just asumed that was the message they would get.
After all it would seem logical as the default value is

"The message below contained a virus and did not
reach some or all of the intended recipients.

From: %MACRO_FROM%
To: %MACRO_TO%
Sent: %MACRO_SENT%
Subject: %MACRO_SUBJECT%

hMailServer
"

haveing another look i relise that that message must only be for the sender and the other virus message must be only if the message was deleted
