Message undeliverable

Post by noelek » 2004-09-28 09:45

how about it?

The mail server could not deliver the message to you since the file C:\Program Files\hMailServer\Data\xxxx.xx\honza\{08DE6AAE-9E93-4275-B320-697374C398EA}.hma does not exist on the server.

The file may have been deleted by anti virus software running on the server.

hMailServer

I don`t use any antivirus.

John

Does the file exist on the server?
Have you received this error more than once?

Have you received this error more than once?
Have you checked the Windows Event Viewer for any error messages reported by hMailServer?
Have you manually been removing files from the data directory?

Well what do you expect? :-)
Deleting a file in the Data directory doesn't delete the entire email from hMailServer. There are still references to the message from the database...

I have been trying to reproduce this without any success. Have moved lots of email without getting this error. But I have added more error handling in this part of the source code. Suggest you install RC2 Build 42 and try it out. If it happens again, check your Windows Event Viewer for errors. (Any error occurs when calling a file copy/create/move function should be reported here).
