Recommended database?

Post by ras07 » 2019-12-18 00:28

I'm finally migrating off Win7, and given the issues with MySQL I'm considering moving off it as well. Is MariaDB the database of choice these days? I set up a POC server with MariaDB a few months back using Dravion's tutorial at https://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32869 and it seemed to work fine, but I didn't make it do anything strenuous.

The best would be Postgres.
From a Development point of view its best to upgrade and best to support. It also supports TLSv1 2. There is no Light or costly Enterprise Edition and its very stable. Right now 9.x. /10.x is supported but 11.x and 12.x is easy to integrate
just by recompiling hMS with new Datasebase libs.
