DKIM and aliased domains

Post by ras07 » 2019-08-21 03:11

I have hMailServer set up with a single domain, call it xyz.com.

I have xyz.org and xyz.net as domain name aliases (configured in Domains | xyz.com , Names tab).

The appropriate DNS TXT records are all set for xyz.com, xzy.org, and xyz.net. (All set to the same key.)

DKIM works fine for email sent from, for example, ras@xyz.com. But if I send from ras@xyz.org or ras@xyz.net, the email does not get signed (no dkim-signature header is created).

Is this expected behavior? Is there a way to get hMailServer to sign emails where the sending account is an aliased domain?

can't be done

Here is a work around >> viewtopic.php?f=7&t=33067&p=206863&hili ... as#p206772

And a enhancement request to vote on
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29029&p=181446#p181446

Personally I still believe that the D in DKIM is 'Domain' and that DKIM should be individualised per domain (FQDN)
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

Would be fine with me if it signed the message as the alias domain name, but used the same key

A few dozen user accounts on 3 domains (all aliased together).
