Hmailserver 5.7.0 64bits from Dravion

Post by bagu » 2019-04-30 13:52

Hello,

I have been using Hmailserver for a long time and stayed on version 5.6.8.
I just saw that Dravion had made available a 64Bits version stamped 5.7.0 LTS.
Does this mean that Martin is no longer following the project?
Do I have a problem if I upgrade to the Dravion version?
What procedure to follow in order to update safely? (knowing that I make 2 backups a day)

Thank you for your attention.

There is no special Upgrade Datawise.
hMailServer 5.7.0 x64 LTS works the same
as the official 32-Bit Release. You also can safely downgrade form 64 to 32-Bit.

Ps: There are two Versions of LTS (with OpenSSL 1.0.2R or LibreSSL 2.9.1).

LibreSSL is a Fork of OpenSSL 1.0.2.x and will be supported beyond OpenSSL 1.0.2.x End of Life on Dec 31, 2019.

The Smartscreen Warning should be gone.

If you want to avoid any Warnings from my Releases, you can download and install my RootCA Certificate from the Attachement
like this

1) Download the attached TalkCircle-RootCA-Cert.zip file and unzip it to the Folder TalkCircle-RootCA-Cert and go into this folder
2) You should see the File TalkCircle-RootCA-Cert.crt, double click it with the left mouse button

A Cert Dialog from Windows should be come up, this should look like this:
ca_cert_import_step_01.png
3) Click the red highlighted Install Certificate Button and in next step click the option "Local Machine", click yes on if asked
4) at the Certificate Import Wizzard Screen select "Place all certufucates in the following store" and click the "Browse..." Button

The next Screen should lool like this:
ca_cert_import_step_02.png
5) Select Tursted Root Certification Authorities and the OK Button
6) Next click the "Next" button and finally the "Finish" Button

Done.
From now on, any of my Downloads will identified by your Computer as digitally signed by me.
Nothing will be installed without your knowlege or consent, but you know its legit.
