Different routes for same domain according to email address?

Post by twaldorf » 2019-04-26 09:11

Hello,

Actually we route to one Exchange server and the transport to the correct mailbox store is done by the Exchange server. We want to change this so that hMailServer direct routes to the correct server (according to email addresses). Is it possible to add a route in hMailServer which routes some email addresses to server A and some other email addresses to server B? All email addresses uses the same domain.

Best regards,

Thorsten

Set up a SMTP relayer for all

Set up a SMTP route for some known addresses and add them as route addresses
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.

So hMailServer will use first a route and if the email address does match the route domain but is not included in the "deliver to addresses" it will use the relayer instead?

If so, this is not good for my configuration because I have some more other domains which all uses routes and the "deliver to addresses" to block emails to unknown users before they go to the Exchange.

Any other solutions? Perhaps with a script?

you could also use a rule to catch mail, and then use route as an action

Rules + routes
