Hi All,
Currently using Hmailserver which database is using mssql. I'm planning to switch the database to MySql.
Is it possible to do a backup from my current hmailserver setup (Database:MsSQL), then reinstall hmailserver with MySQL as db and use the restore function from the previous hmailserver setup backup.
Backuo and Restore
Re: Backuo and Restore
A short answer, yes.
*Provided your email data folder is less than 15GB (Realistically 2GB)

Yes...as long as your backup (WITH Messages.....COMPRESSED!).....works. It will only work if your data size does not exceed 15gb. If the standard internal backup works, then you can restore from it once you have reinstalled Hmailserver.

Yes. ENSURE THE SAME VERSION of HMS is reinstalled on to your new system that you use on the backup. (Once installed and data restored, then you can upgrade HMS if you want).
