can not delete emails

can not delete emails

Hi,

I have a problem with deleting some of my emails from the deleted items folder. I use Squirrelmail to check/read my emails and just recently I am having an issue with deleting emails from the deleted items folder. By that I mean the emails are still there even after I have selected those I want to get rid of and clicked delete button from the squirrelmail.

I currently use hMailServer 5.3-B1617.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Squirelmail has a 'purge' link.

If you 'check mail' you will see a 'purge' beside the 'deleted items' folder.

Typically, for most IMAP clients delete just marks a message for deletion, not actually deletes the item. Purge is used to actually delete the message
