guide me in a simple rule to block ip's or domains please.

Post by minsik » 2008-11-09 01:33

Hi.

yes i have read the help and online help. Me just thick i guess :)

I want to add a rule (hope this is the right place) to block an ip address range or domain from even incoming to the mail server. While i can see rules for some things i cant get the hang of them.

ok want to block someone while they are connecting and trying to acccess with incorrect username and passwords. he is a bad person. i want to block him and his domain. how can i do that with (thinks again it must be a rule as cant see a way to block elsewhere) a rule.

ie if incoming ip 201.1.1.* or domain like *.someone.com.* and not even reply or receive emails. In the rules there is a delete the email but how can hmail refuse even the connection?

thanks for any guidance.

I have searched fthe forum for block rules, read the rules how to and still cant get it.

thanks.

Only way to reject connections completely is to add an IP range with his IP address and make sure no protocols are enabled in it.
