hMailServer right for me?

Post by 2112 » 2008-08-14 00:02

Excuse my n00bishness on this... wanted to see if I should give hMail a try...

I have a 2000 Server box, around 30 WinXP users, no budget, no experience installing or administering an e-mail server, and little time to spend managing it. Is hMail right for me?

Thanks! :D

hmailserver is extremely easy to use... i had no experience with mail servers at all before i used hmail and i got it up and running in a few hours of work. The community here is great and is always quite helpful. hmailserver can easily handle 30 XP users from your win2000 box. If you want to use the server for external mail, you can easily integrate measures to prevent spam and viruses for your users.

Just poke around at the documentation and search the forums - you can find plenty of help everywhere.
hMailServer v5.2.1 Build 360
XAMPP 1.70
Horde Groupware Webmail 1.2.3
Windows Server 2003 SBS

Compared to that damned MDaemon, hMailServer beats it ten to one. I highly recommend it.
