.NET Tool for a/c summary, delete old email, mail list

Post by kani » 2011-07-23 19:32

A small tool for admin to do the following

1) You can view the account usage of all accounts under a domain in a grid view

2) You can delete messages older than 7, 10, 30, 60 and 90 days

3) Simple mail list manager (like a text editor)

more to come :D

Make sure you have .net framework 3.5 or higher installed.

Thanks and Have fun.

Neat idea kani. Not sure how many people will run up an exe from unknown source on their server though. You considered including the source for your tool to help ease that anxiety?
Thx!

Thank You Bill,

I have no problem sharing the code (VB.NET) I have planned to add few more functions and working on. Can attach the code in this thread if that helps.

Please let me know if anyone have plans to work together with a central repository, we can create a project and work on that.

Cheers!

Update:

1. Array index bug fixed (Delete old emails)

2. New option for collecting sender emails. Loops through all emails and collect unique sender emails in text area. you can copy to clipboard.

Why do I got the feeling that this .Net application has been abandoned? Well, because we don't have a news from the creator for like a year and a half. Is the user still around or even coming to this forum anymore?

Salve! I want to make something similar and was hoping to take a look at your source (I won't copy it, I just want to see how it works). Can you please post a link? I'll share mine with you in return!

It's been a long time but here is the source code, planning to work on this again in a few weeks but willing to receive updated code if you modify it. Please test the code before using it.

Mr. Kani,

Actually, I think I am just returning to the topic. I am given so very many things to do that I can't get to the "good stuff" in a timely manner. However, I have this big plan for creating an interactive service by which to remote control hMailServer and automate Listserver things, and I think your project might give me some insights.

I am sloooowww!
So, to answer your question, no, I haven't looked yet, but I was thinking of looking just yesterday! I am quite excited about it all, actually, and can't wait to get into it.

When I do do something, I promise not to forget to tell everyone. In fact, I have it in my head to share everything I make for hMailServer. I have adopted it for production.
