Support for emailReg.org White List RBL?

Post by Lee Thompson » 2014-11-12 21:56

There's a service now doing a 'whitelist' RBL called emailReg.

Information is here http://www.emailreg.org/index.cgi?p=usage

While I'm not terribly thrilled that to get ON the list you need to jump through hoops and pay some money every year, it would be cool if I could at least use it as a whitelist.

why would it be cool, the concept is useless.

The way the mail works is that its considered good until it proves iteself to be bad. If you could overide that it would mean nothing and there would be conflicts with some dns lookups saying its good and others saying its bad. How would you know which one was right I why would you assume that all mailservers would use the whitelist?
It would be a spammers dream.

If your mail is being classed as spam it is for a reason. what is your mail domain name?

Oh, and SPF already does this for free only its better because the dns entry is in the domains own dns so can't be falsified as it potentially can in emailreg.

Emailreg is conning people into parting with money for a useless service.
