hMailServer is currently not using Sender-ID.
I've read that the first people getting their own Sender-ID is spammers, and then there's no huge benefit with Sender-ID as I see it...

Just as the apache guys, I don't like the idéa of implementing something patented in hMailServer. It's not that I'm generally against patenting but I just don't know enough about patents to forsee what that could cause for hMailServer.

And what about using only SPF? I am by no meens an expert on this area but as far as I know SPF may become a standard and, since it is not developed by Microsoft, it is afaik not covered by any patents.
