Could you make an option if the hMailServer.ini is not located in %systemroot%, then the program checks for the file in the same location as the .exe file is. And if it isn't located in any of these locations, it would be created in %systemroot%, because I saw several programs uses this .ini file.

I like to keep all the files together for making backup.

That's a good idea. I'll move it to the hMailServer\Bin-folder in the 3.3 release.

You could put it in the parent dir of the binary. Perhaps a command-line parameter could specify which ini to use for the paranoid.
Then you can put it where ever you want and the service can specify where it is. Ideally it would be contained to the folder it is installed in and not even have registry entries. This way you can move it around and it still works (except for the service entries, of course).
