As I wrote in another topic, I have had limited days to do changes the last days. Think this should be back to normal now. I've put up the following new build:
Following changes has been made:
- Test fix for IMAP IDLE error messages. Haven't been able to reproduce the problem myself so I'm not 100% sure that it's solved
- Test fix for pure virtual function error message. Same thing here. Haven't been able to reproduce.
- A number of minor GUI-fixes in the multi-homing and TCP/IP-addresses section in hMailServer Administrator.
Build available here:
http://dev.hmailserver.com/hMailServer-4.3-B234.exe

It's the email client that sends recipients. hMailServe doesn't have that functionality.

What fileman might be refering to is the greylist delay of the return receipt.

Hi there, ever since I upgraded last night, one of my auto-forwarding rules doesn't fire. I get this in the error log:
"ERROR" 2864 "2006-09-08 08:30:13.407" "Source: RuleApplier::_ApplyActionForward, Code: HM4235, Description: Could not forward message; no recipients."
I checked the rule definition and it is just as it was before.
On the bright side, the new spam blocking functions are making a world of a difference. One particular account that usually gets at least 100 spam messages a day using just the blacklists has not gotten a single one since I upgraded 15 hours ago. So big thanks to you, Martin!

Hosters.at:
Thanks. I'll go through PHPWebAdmin in the weekend and make sure there's no other such misses. (Previously, Notices had to be turned of for PHPWebAdmin to work, but in 4.3 it should be possible to have them turned om.
FritzMeister:
Could it be that the recipient you have configured the rule to forward to has been removed or something like that? I just set up a rule here and it forwarded fine.

The recipient is still configured. I'll try to recreate it another identical rule from scratch and see how it's written to the database.

Martin, I created another rule from scratch and it still does gives me the same error message. In your test, did you use the "Enable forwarding" function or a rule? Here is the action record from the hm_rule_actions table:
actionid 22
actionruleid 23
actiontype 2
actionimapfolder
actionsubject
actionfromname
actionfromaddress
actionto
someone@somewhere.net
actionbody
actionfilename
actionsortorder 0
actionscriptfunction

Thanks, I've fixed that issue now. The issue was introduced a few months ago.
I'm preparing a build now that should fix the known issues. I'll hopefully put it up here tomorrow, and unless anyone has reported a serious issue before thursday, I'll move it to the download / unstable section.

martin,
I've been running this build since the moment it went online, and I have not yet had another one of those virtual function errors. This looks good!
Thanks!

Martin,
I think the backup function is broken. I am running build 234 on XP x64 and prior to the upgrade [229 - 234] I had no problems with the backup function, now when I try it I get
Run-time error '-2147417851 (80010105)':
Method '~' of object '~' failed
just letting you know. When it fails the Admin dies altogether. All the log tells me is "Backup started". If there is something more you need from me for this just let me know.

Hi,
there seems to be a problem with the HTML-Signatures (on domain and user-level) - server replies with: "Your message was received but it could not be saved. Please retry later.."
Plain-Text is working good.

gjblajian:
That's a more or less known issue. It appears to randomly stop working and I haven't been able to figure out the cause of this yet. Is there anything in the error log? What happens if you restart the hMailServer server and then try again?
ClaudeLeSage:
I tried this myself but didn't get the error. Could you send me a private message containing your signature so that I can try with it?

I'll have a fix for this issue tomorrow. I think I've resolved the backup issue as well which I've been looking for a long time.
(The signature problem had to do with a MIME-composing issue. The signature issue was pretty easy to fix but I found a few other things at the same time I want to fix (problem occurs if you use the COM API to create a HTML-email with attachments))
