mmm i believe the TCP connection was intended to the SA socket.

the tcp connection 6384 is realated an smtp connection?

if so the 1 sec delay should be in the last 2 row of the log isnt' it?

of course all this "test" was done with SA integration enabled and no SA installed.
after disabling SA integration all mine mail sent/receive have 1 sec less ( average )

can you tell me your retry timing and greylist timing?

now i'm using 10 mins every 576 time ( 10 mins for 4 days as stated on RFC . RFC also suggest at least 30 mins of retry but greylisting cause me trouble ) . Under greylisting i've got block time 1 mins , clear unused 2 days and clear used 36 days

exactly doom, exactly. same issue here. to avoid this i've add a smart host for a domain and using xmailserver with a lower retry timing. but of couse it's not my best solutions.i want to use hmailserver not other products hehe :D

In other product the delivery retry on queue is done via an incremental process . Xmailserver, Qmail, Merak and so on has this feature . I think will be great have this kind of delivery instead the current one ( retry y times every X mins ) . I've got some trouble with graylisting ( not on my side, ...

for a strange reason i dont have a v5 installed. even my test server it's on a v4 . :) i've just ask if someone has use it on a v5 yet..

yes, it's possibile. just backup everything , create the new db on mssql using the own hmailserver apps. and then restore the db.

i'm using the express 2005 version and i dont have any issue. of course if you have a large installation the express version cant handle it as well. i'm using it on a 10 domains and 70 accounts.
I know people using it on 500 domains and 1500 accounts without any issue or speed limits too.

mmm i believe SM need a db as backend. anyway, full text search on MSSQL should be useful if SM could connect to it. i think header would stored in the DB too . (not sure on last point ) . I know Hmailserver wont take so much benefits for full text search but other apps you can create and connect to...

i doubt you can use mssql 2005 with squirrelmail.
it's a php based webmail. in my experience havent able to run any php page to a mssql db.

mssql express can handle max 1gb ram. i believe it wont use lots of ram just for 1 installation of hmailserver and instead , in my envroiment it use 800 mb ram.

( with sql 2005 express )


havent tried with sql 2008 express but i think will be similar.

yeah... i've switched from internal mysql to external mysql and at the end i've switched to ms sql express edition ( and it's already this. ) . just for curiosity... i tought the main problem with mssql express was the 4gb limits... instead it's the 1gb ram max usage.... my installation now use 700-...

becouse i've seen a similar thing with live loggin with the v4 couple month ago.. or i believe... right now i cant remember.
maybe terminal server connection can disturb the live logging ( as sometimes occours with other software ) ?

mmm nice pop3 feature martin. on 4.4 if i've got less than 100.000 messages on inbox this wont occour, isn't it? or almost it's not so noticeable.
