We'll add the feature for $15. Even if you don't pay anything, we'll add the feature. It will be added in 2.1 witch will be released in about 2 weeks. hMailServer is open source and my intention on developing it is not to make money. But contributions is ofcourse appreciated anyway ;-)

Try this installation:
http://alpha.halvar.com/hmailserver/hMailServer-1.7.exe

I have changed so that stdole2.tlb is not installed if it already exists on the system.

A catchall facility will exist in version 2.0. I don't want to add it to this 1.7 installation since that would decrease stability.

Try using this installation and see if it works:
http://alpha.halvar.com/hmailserver/hMailServer-1.7.exe

I have changed the way the .dll's and .tlb's are registered and it should work now (since I now use the build in register functions in the installation program instead of regsvr32.exe).

I'll add regsvr32.exe to the installation in 2.0. Some OS'es does not seem to have this file installed by default..

Hi,

What you could try to do is to stop all running programs, such as web servers and so on and do it again and see if it helps. Otherwise I'll create a new installation were a failure of installing this file don't cancel the installation.

Hi, First of all, I'm sorry you run in to this problems. :) Second, hMailServer is open source. You can download all of the source by connecting to the CVS repository at sourceforge! Third, we are considering to implement built in support for MySQL (adding MySQL to the actual installation.) Fourth, ...

Hi (and thanks), I don't know any program that can do this. And I don't think it would be that easy to solve it using the COM API. You would have to write your own POP3 parser, tcpip sockets and so on. Do you want to collect email from one single POP3 account and distribute it among many local accou...

I'll have it finished in a couple of days. The fix will be included in 2.0. I'l put a beta of 2.0 somewhere so that you can test it before the 'official' release...

In 2.0 there will only be one service, called hMailServer instead of two (hPOP3Server and hSMTPserver).

Using a sub domain such as chat.servernot.dk has not much to do with hmailserver. What you have to do is configure your dns server so that the MX record for chat.servernot.dk points at your servers ip address. After that, you can add a domain using hMailAdmin with the name chat.servernot.dk and add ...

You could perhaps crypt the password, but the easiest way is to install SSL support on the web server so that the traffic is crypted and signed.

I'm not sure if it's a great idea to turn of guest postings. I want it to be easy to post new messages.. this conflicts with requiring the user to register himself... I could however add a javascript-messagebox with a warning and a yes/no button. Will think about it. :?

Re: sorry very late night server setup

My web server is apache with PHP as preferred scripting engine. I would love to get the web mail thing working but understand that it is written in ASP. There will probably be a webmail version for php soon. Until than, you can probably use OpenWebmail(.com) with hmailserver. Never tried it though....

Hi, You must have the SMTP server running for hMailServer to work. It's the SMTP server that receives email to your domain and knows how to store them in the hMailServer database. When someone sends you an e-mail it is received by the SMTP server. Not by the POP3 servers. So unless your other SMTP s...

Yepp that's correct. It has to do with the fact that the web server doesn't have enough rights to do some checks in the registry that I have added. This will be fixed in 1.6.0.1. I'll uploaded at SF in a couple of hours.

I'm testing it right now..

Have you changed the application protection level in ISS? (According to the hwebmail installation isntructions)
