I forgot to say that it is recommended to use the stable version 4.1.1 build 140, but you might consider using the speed optimitzations (specially server side sorting) of the "de facto" stable (one of this days will be) 4.2 build 193 or later. There are a lot of production sites using build 193.

In fact exactly you'll have up to 256 folders for each user at the end. Don't worry about it, we have 256 folders for every user with high mail volume here and this works flawlessly.

This is an optimitzation to support high number of messages (specially using IMAP protocol).

I would not recommend using both antispam tools. You'll have to tune two antispam tools and the interaction between will have to be taken in account.

The best solution is to find the one suits you better and configure it correctly. In my case it was ASSP, but you case can be different.

The first think you must do is read the manuals at ASSP. By your post I assume your ASSP is not properly configured.

First, have you declared your local domains? and local users ? If you use SMTP authentication it is not necessary to list users but if not it is very important.

I use clamdscan of SOSDG clamav, and it works in a diferent way.

I think you should simply enable the --arj --zip and things like this, but I won't look at this as it is a much better solution to use SOSDG clamdscan daemon (much faster and eficient), mainly thanks to runclamd service.
