What exactly are you using Proxmox for ?? Just asking as my server (5.6.9) seems to function flawlessly ... It's mainly an SMTP proxy in both directions (in/out) with classic Postfix + SA + ClamAV combo, all in a Debian box/VM with a good web UI, reports, monitors, quarantine, certs management etc....
