Hmailserver has absolutely nothing to do with xampp. The only thing i can think of is maybe you somehow enabled mercury mail which took over port 465. Please enable logging, try again and post the logs. Change from 32bit XAMPP to 64bit XAMPP could be a problem with the database driver in hMailServe...

The only thing i can think of is maybe you somehow enabled mercury mail which took over port 465.

Also, wrong version number has to do with which version of tls you're using to negotiate with the other server. Try unchecking all except 1.2 and 1.3.

You can combine all these scripts into a single PHP script and forget about the rule altogether. PHP can access COM and DCOM, so you can use the hmailserver API directly from PHP.
