Re: Blackmail Scam

haveibeenpwned.com - is this for real??? They say this email has been pwned, but there's no proof of that. Just try to use any admin@ accounts, like admin@google.com or admin@applie.com even admin@whitehouse.gov They say they all been pwned. Really ?! Seems like an advertisement for 1password...

Can you suggest NFC Reader/Writer for VB6

This board seems like a good "collection" of smart people  , so I thought I would ask: Does anybody knows any good USB NFC Reader/Writer which has API or other libraries accessible from Visual Basic 6? I have an existing code in VB6 and I need to do a prototype of a device that is capable of c...

Re: Refresh Domains, Accounts, etc.

Actually, that problem was with the older version on my test server. The live server is running version 5.6.7-B2425 and it looks like it's refreshing just fine. So, please disregard the part of my message about not refreshing. Maybe we don't even need the manual refresh if the Administration ...

Refresh Domains, Accounts, etc.

It's accustom to have a right-click option "Refresh" to get updated content from the inside of the selected item. I just experimented with my own web-based user interface and noticed that the Administration GUI doesn't get updated items in the tree view, when Domain or Account has been added (probab...

A logic behind the message folder names

I noticed that messages saved in a folder name representing the first 2 characters of the message file.

Is that always the case?

Re: Can I re-use the same DKIM keys for several domains?

If it works, I'd guess only if they became compromised Thanks, mattg. Any deviation from this, is punished with 6 month in a virtual jail cell, wearing a read string with a bow on your right index finger. A bow on my index finger - that would be horrible. In that case, I won't do it, I won't share ...

Can I re-use the same DKIM keys for several domains?

Since DKIM keys are not associated with the spelling of the domain name, in case when several domain names owned by the same company/owner - are there any negative consequences on using the same private/public keys for DKIM?

Re: First time setup struggle. Can't send nor receive. Debug posted.

Thank you everyone (mattg and palinka). It's kind of embarrassing: I was testing the server on the old Windows 2003 server machine and as soon as I disabled the firewall I got some viruses. They were causing all kinds of problems, probably taking hostage port 25 and God knows what. As soon as I noti...

Re: First time setup struggle. Can't send nor receive. Debug posted.

Matt, I think you're on to something. I have 2 network cards on the server. One is for local network 192.168.x.x and another is for public IP address, connected directly via HSPA switch. There's no firewall between the hMail and the entire Internet. I think communication without SSL/TLC via port 25 ...

First time setup struggle. Can't send nor receive. Debug posted.

Hello everyone. I have setup the server a couple of weeks ago, but was unable to make it work probably because I'm not familiar with the server. I have created self-signed certificate and attached it with the key to the server according to the documentation. I have also created private and public ke...

Re: Direct changes in the Database

...You can run in situation you inserted stuff in a MySQL Table which will be overwritten by hMailServer because it holds older data. Its a risky game.. Got it. Thanks Dravion. I guess I will have to write my own gateway service that would be running on the mail server to receive my own commands fr...

Re: Direct changes in the Database

Thanks for the reply, Dravion. I was trying to avoid using COM because I didn't want to run IIS on the mail server, but if there's no other way (I mean effective way), then I guess I would have to implement the inter-server communication on the hosing servers to send necessary commands to the mail s...

Re: Direct changes in the Database

You can do it but you should restart the hMailServer service after any change to the SQL-Database to refresh hMailServers internal caches. Thanks Dravion, so is the Reinitialize() method of Application COM object sufficient enough to perform the restart? Or should I do Stop() then Start(), or perha...

Direct changes in the Database

Hi, I just discovered this server. Looks great. Is it possible to make some direct changes to the database, meaning without using COM object? I understand that things related to the messages are probably cached and it wouldn't make sense creating those records, but what I'm interested in is ONLY to ...
