We migrated the domain today.

However, I learned that renaming the domain does a full copy of the old domain. The lack of storage is resulting in an error due to running out of storage. Is this the only way to rename the domain?

I have tested this by creating a new domain and it worked. I assume renaming the domain after the moving the MX records will not prevent us from accessing those emails past emails.

Ran the disk checks and no problem was identified.

Tried Thunderbird and I had to restart it to retrieve new emails.
Webmail works without a problem, it's just those desktop mail clients.
