hMailServer is not capable of marking emails read/unred on it's own. Either your client is FU'd or you have some script or something poking the database.

What exactly are you using Proxmox for ?? Just asking as my server (5.6.9) seems to function flawlessly ... It's mainly an SMTP proxy in both directions (in/out) with classic Postfix + SA + ClamAV combo, all in a Debian box/VM with a good web UI, reports, monitors, quarantine, certs management etc....

I believe "Return.Value = 3" should give you SMTP code 453 which is the same code as GreyListing... IF the client works as I expect, it will wait x minutes and try again. I don't know how many times you can "tell the client to wait" but in theory you should be able to defer reception for 30 minutes ...

This is O365 or mailoauth2proxy disconnecting your session. This is a TCP error message, not a POP3 protocol error message.

POP3CMaxTimeout=900

900 seconds is the default value = 15 minutes ... Perhaps try increase it?
