Why not create the account so it csn be used for authentication? Its quite a standard/common method and doesnt have to be USED as an inbox. And it makes you server more secure.

OR....dont and stop trying to authenticate.

This is your problem:
I unchecked the option "require authentification" next to "Local to Local" and "Local to External".
Enable AUTHENTICATION for these.

If you need a SPECIFIC ip range for a device on your lan (that doesnt authenticate) then add a separate IP RANHGE for that device address.

Its not a surprise - using native Clamwin will always suck resources and this problem can happen.

Upgrade it to a Clamd service by following this guide: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=26829 - you will then no longer have the problem.

Im running out the door right now but a quick look at that script should still be ok. Can you clarify what username you are referring to in

yourusername'@'localhost'

is it the ROOT password of MySQL or are you creating a HMS database specific user (eg, "HMSDB") and then referring to that (presumably before you then install HMS and attempt to connect with HMSDB user)?

The thing confusing me is that you say 78.110.174.187 is the same server that hmailserver is running on. In these situations the connecting address wouldmore likely be 127.0.0.1. Anyway..... You IP range for 78.110.174.187 shows that authentication is NOT required: IP: 78.110.174.186 - 78.110.174.18...

After downloading the files to you directory (as .EML files), you need to run DDS to import the emails in to the system. After this completes the new emails should automatically appear in the relevant INBOXes of the accounts automatically.
