The spamassassin required sore is different from hms required score. And in the examples given spamassassin has performed as expected and not in question. Your setup is fine. Also try going in to hmailadmin' go to the FOLDERS (under advanced within his account) and right click. Isn't there an 'empty folder' option on it?

If the file relates to actual emails on disk then you would lose the email from clients until you do a data directory synchroniser import again. Truth is you are breaking the integrity between database and physical files .

As a mail server all email is incoming (to the server for delivery) and maybe then outgoing (as it gets sent externally or delivered in to local account). The sequence described covers this cycle in it's entirety.
