No. The event is just that - an event triggered by a stage or process. What you code in that sub routine is is down to you. The only properties it knows it what is passed in the parameters to the sub. (Omessage?)

The syntax and format of that command is an rfc standard and must be adhered to. Hmailserver (or i doubt any other mail server) will accept the maul without it being correct as it is fundamental to the protocol.

'External' means "domain not hosted by you" (it's nothing to with the machine address). Now you know that, look back at your settings.

The suggestion of spamassassin is because it may pick or up based on ip and source reputation. Also, sa is very weary of 'image only' emails.

This "kind of attack" is common. Chances are the user of the machine trying the attack doesn't even know it (virus spam bot). It will stop. They always do.

There is no 1.5gb limit in the latest version. Ignore the warning if given or upgrade to latest if needed. You can then use the internal backup no problem.
