Re: Sending from known external account

Is there a particular script I can use, or do I have to write some script myself?

Sending from known external account

Hi, In Denmark, there is a kind of war going on between two ISP's, Telia and TDC: People who have an email address at Telia, but an Internet connection through TDC can't send mails anymore from their own address: Telia restricts their SMTP server to be used when connected to their network (i.e. Teli...

Re: Message folder changed

"Only install this build in environments which is not in production." How serious should I take this warning? :)

I've been looking on this forum, but could not find an answer to this question: How can I CHANGE the settings of a RUNNING hMail to use ANOTHER machine as MySQL server?

Re: Message folder changed

The role-back has been done. Where can I download 5.4? Can't find it under download - maybe I am looking with my nose :)

Re: Message folder changed

Thank you! I will try that tomorrow. I just have made a roll-back and recovered the last backup, so now the mail should be up and running on the old server.

Re: Message folder changed

On my new server, there is being created a folder named "Mailstorage" on my E-drive, and within that folder there are subfolders for all the domains I am running, within those subfolders user folders for all the accounts, and those user folders contain e-mails. Are that files, created by hMailserver...

Message folder changed

Hi, On my old server, all messages were saved in E:\Mailstorage I have setup a new mail server, with a dedicated harddisk for the messages. Drive letter assigned to that disk is F, so full path to messages should be F:\ I installed hMailserver on my new machine. I made an SQL dump on my old server, ...

Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

I got an account, called "spam@mydomain.ext" I got an account, called "something@mydomain.ext" I've set the antispam settings as mentioned above I've created a rule, as mentioned above I still got messages, marked as "[SPAM]" in my something@mydomain.ext-inbox. Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

Well, I guess I understand it, but (correct me if I'm wrong), you were writting directly from the head, and some terms are different :) Maybe I am talking nonsense now, but I guess, the rule should be as follows: General: SPAM <domainname> Enabled: check Criteria: Use AND To Contains <domainname> Re...

Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

I might have been blind temporarily. You're totally right: there is a "subject" in the list... Unless "subject" had been sneaking out, while I wasn't looking, and came back while I was asleep. ;) Now I will try to find out, if I understand the part, where the rule is checking of an address is listed...

Re: Let Users create their own accounts (Upgraded for 4.3)

These scripts are for hmailserver 4.x.. Granted some might work but unless you are using 4.x odds are you are in the wrong place. :D In terms of your question, odds are the better (proper) way to do it is via hmail's COM interface so hmail handles the database etc. Bill I have no idea if it's becau...

Re: Let Users create their own accounts (Upgraded for 4.3)

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but I just tried to change the database (via phpmyadmin), to give all users a subfolder called "spam". Adding this folder to everyone from within the database is a piece of cake, but I found out, that the folders are being recognized by hMailserver after it ha...

Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

I seem not to be able to add a rule "If message subject contains [SPAM]". There is no such "message subject" in the list. I tried to write "message subject" in the box right of the pull down box, but that was not able to make it work.

Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

Thanks. I just thought that "moving to spam" was an built-in feature :) But thanks, I will follow your advice, as soon as I am having time to play with my mailserver :)

Thanks in advance.

Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

So I just have to create a folder called "SPAM" in the account, and then the SPAM is being moved automatically -OR- I have to make that rule? It's easier to ask than to try :)

Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

In one of my inboxes, I got 11 spam messages this morning. No Job Vacancies, no Dutch Casino from Russia, but I got offered Cialis, Viagra and Rolexes, and somebody named Carli Evan sent me an e-mail how I can enlarge some part on my body. Not necessary to tell, that I am not interested in any of th...

Re: Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

Thanks. I just tried, and got a company in The Netherlands, of which I am a registered user, to send me a new password. With my old settings and SURBL switched on, I never received mails from that company. Now it comes through. So it looks like this part is working. I will test, and see how many spa...

Job Vacancies and some Dutch casino from Russia :)

Hi all, I tried to find similar posts, but either there was no suitable solution, or else the problem was slightly different to my problem. I am running hMailserver (no kidding!) on Windows 2003 (obviously unimportant, but you never know). It's running very good, but I got many complaints from my fr...
