Because of a security bug in OpenSSL, I updated the version in hMailServer to 1.1.1g and it works.
http://wiki.overbyte.eu/arch/openssl-1.1.1g-win32.zip
I have used this version and replaced the DLLs. I also saw that there were old OpenSSL DLLs with other names which I deleted.

Re: Logging encryption
Thank you very much. That was 90% of what I need.
Is there a line in the log that tells me that the connection is not encrypted?
Or do I have to log all "TCP - Connection" lines and subtract the encrypted lines
from it to get the count of unencrypted connections?

I've looked at the documentation but cannot figure out how to log if a connection is encrypted or not. I can use this code to get the port Sub OnClientConnect(oClient) If oClient.Port = 25 Then ... Why was there a parameter how to configure it when there is a working solution.
SRS

Doesn't look like a big deal to do it. Or do I miss something.
With SRS forwarding will work and everybody would be happy.

Isn't the default value bad? As soon as you forward to a domain with strict SPF, the email is rejected.
This happens with a lot of servers now.

Bug with forwarding emails
We have a problem with users enabling forwarding of emails where the MAIL FROM in the header is wrong. E.g. firstname.surname@gmx.de is sending an email to firstname.surname@mydomain.de and he enabled forwarding to xxxx@web.de then the email is delivered to the mailbox and then forwarded to xxxx@web...

For me it's also important. I just want to say that hMS "could" run on Linux when the service is done with .NET Core.
For me there is no discussion that we need a GUI.

Write it to the database with the GUI? Or connect the GUI to the service and tell the service the settings you want to change....

@Dravion.
You still don't understand. GUI is important. But currently there is also the hMS service and the GUI.
The service needs no GUI so it's easy to stick to .NET core.

Small bug with IMAP folder rename
I tried this with Thunderbird and Roundcube.
I created a new IMAP folder "TesT".
Then I tried to rename it to "Test" and I get a message
from the server that this folder already exists. The
same error I get with Roundcube.
Renaming to "Test2" and then "Test" works.

Attention with change domain in general tab
If you change your main domain in the general tab, everything is ok with full paths in the database.
If you remove the full path as suggested in some posts, your old mails in your old path will not be found.
You have to manually move them to the new domain folder.

DecryptBlowfish.vbs bug or security hole?
DecryptBlowfish.vbs asks for the admin password of hMailServer to decrypt the database password.
But it doesn't matter what you enter, you can always decrypt the password without authentication.
You should remove the admin password question or fix the authentication for decryption.

The reason I'm stopping hMS service is that the MS SQL CE doesn't support VSS and won't be in a consistent state without stopping the service. Only stopping hMS couldn't be enough because hMS will still have the DB opened. You don't need to stop hMS if you use real MS SQL Server. I don't know about ...
