You would simply iterate through your domain accounts and then do Account.FetchAccounts.Add() and then set the various properties and call Save().

The best place to look for examples is most likely in the source code for the hMailAdmin utility, it uses the API for everything.

I mostly only care about stopping the mass mailing viruses which are almost always small.

I am less concerned with other viruses that might be emailed between users by accident because they don't impact my server and will usually be taken care of by the end user's anti-virus.

It is likely IIS which is using port 25. Open up the Computer Management console, navigate to the Servers and Applications section, click on IIS and then either disable or change the port of the Default SMTP Virtual Server.

Unfortunately, there isn't an migration tool currently.

The easiest option that I know of is just to recreate all the accounts in hMailServer and then use IMAPCopy to copy the mails from Exchange to hMailServer.

The setting is there in order to keep external people from being able to send to your distribution list. Therefore, if you want to have external users be able to send to the list, you will have to keep that setting unchecked.
