Simply rewrite the "from" to handle SPF and DMARC

As many people know there is now a problem with AOL, Yahoo and others setting their SPF so that redirected emails get rejected by some recipient systems(in a nutshelll!). We have a number of distribution lists eg tennisclub@mydomain.com The member will send an email to tennisclub@mydomain.com and it...

Re: Upgrading from 5.3.3 to 5.4

I am reading about editing the paths within the database. However, can someone please advise whether the upgrade process from 5.3.3 to 5.4 does this edit automatically or whether I have to go into the MySql database and do the SELECT and UPDATE as decribed?

Re: Change primary domain name

I read somewhere that Hmailserver stores the complete path name of the emails. When we tried to move the data off the system drive to the second drive we got in a mess. So we resorted to the default installation. However, I think I also read that the recent release (which one I don't know) no longer...

Change primary domain name

Can I change the primary domain name and everyone still see all their emails? we have a primary domain name of "myoldname.com" and we changed our company name so have an alias of "mynewcompanynam...

Re: Automated List Server for hMailServer

I would like to be able to read my list of recipients from an external file (actually from an access database which is my membership database on which I would do a query on some criteria) Can anyone give me a pointer as to where in the code I should start to replace the Hmailserver DL stuff and put ...

Changing the domain name

We have one single domain name on our server and we wish to change it. We have changed our organisation name. I know that we can have multiple names on one domain (ie aliases) which we already do and the DNS can be set up appropriately. However, in certain circumstances (out of office, autoreplies e...

Changing primary domain name

We installed Hmailserver with domain name (eg oldname.com). We have several standard accounts where the user connects via IMAP as normal from internal PCs. We have some aliases where the email is simply forwarded back out to personal (home) email addresses and some distribution lists that have a com...

Re: Get distribution from my database

Fantastic - thanks for the fast reply - looks very easy.

Perhaps your could, just for completeness, drop in the other lines for adding the recipient and then sending; or point to another example.

Get distribution from my database

I would like to send to (for example) members@domain.com so that when it sends and sees this account it reads the addresses from my membership database. This would be more up to date than loading the list into a distribution list everytime. I can manage the database bit to get the addresses but can ...

phpWebadmin - just can't get it it work

I have read lots of postings about DCOM and folders and have set Full Control for "Everyone" on all folders, DCOM all options and still get: Failed to create COM object `hMailServer.Application': Access is denied. This problem is often caused by DCOM permissions not being set. Running from browser o...

User setting out-of-office

Is there a way for a user to set "out-of-office" using Outlook. It is only for internal users but it seems overkill for them to have to run hmailserver admin.
Can this be done in a simple script?
