Re: high cpu utilization of hmailserver.exe

That makes sense. When I looked at the logs things looked fairly normal, but since then I restarted the service. The cpu usage is back to normal now. I also turned on all the logging (had minimal before). When I get alerted to high cpu I'll check the logs at that point and see what may not look norm...

Re: high cpu utilization of hmailserver.exe

ok. I'm trying to track my issue down now too. I restart the hmail service and the problem goes away for a while. I do have some IMAP users and I'm looking into whether that is where the issue is coming from or not. Is there a size of mailbox that could cause this type of problem? Also, I'm running ...

Re: Manually submit message file

The object of this is not to change the header but to capture the email so it can't go until it is approved to be sent. After capturing the message hMail won't process it anymore because it thinks that it already did process it. I'm able to just drop the message file in the IIS SMTP pickup folder an...

Re: Manually submit message file

Actually the IIS SMTP service was exactly what I was looking for. I have a rule in hmail looking for certain words. If it triggers the rule it runs a function from the event handler (then the next rule deletes the email so it doesn't deliver). The function in the event handler both moves the .eml fi...

Re: Manually submit message file

That sounds like an option. I will see what I can work out with that tomorrow at work.
Thanks for the idea.

Re: Manually submit message file

I use the evenhandler to grab the .eml file and break it apart.
I then have asp pages to review the message then recreate it and submit it as a new message.

Re: Manually submit message file

I've just been working on it for a couple days and have it set to where I can release it or archive it. I am rebuilding the message and releasing it that way... just am afraid I won't rebuild it right and will mess up the message. Just didn't know if there would be an easier way to do it. I am testi...

Manually submit message file

I am working on a rule to send competitor emails to a queue for review. I have the rule working and I run a script to move the email file to a folder then delete the email so it doesn't get delivered. I am working on scripts to break this .eml file apart so I can rebuild it and release it if it's ap...

Re: Using mySQL triggers to explore various hMailServer tables

I'm trying to figure a script to manually submit a message.
After these rows are updated in the database what triggers hmail to deliver the message?

I have a similar problem. We use Surfcontrol. We have End User Spam Management turned on that periodically sends an email to users that have spam sitting in the queue. We switched from an Imail server to hMail this morning. After this switch these messages come through with all the code in them, no ...

I also have this same type of issue. I have some accounts that I don't want to create an account for, but I want them to be able to email out. And, I don't want my whole subnet to be able to email out. I'm migrating from Imail and that had a function where I could put the email addresses of this typ...

Forwarding email

I just upgraded to version 4.3 which now has the forward option.
I have all my users setup now with a forward rule.
Does anyone have a script to automatically setup a forward for each of these accounts?
Or is there a tutorial anywhere for creating scripts?

We are presently using Imail for our internet email server. We are working on switching to hmail. We currently use about 50 mailboxes directly on the Imail server and the rest have an automatic forward into their internal Exchange account. I thought aliases would work great for this on hmail until I...

Squirrelmail disconnects

I'm using Squirrelmail for a webmail client on Hmail. It randomly disconnects and says I need to login to use this function. I then get redirected to the login page. This happens in the middle of writing an email, etc. Sometimes just clicking between screens it will do this. Anyone have any ideas? T...
