Thanks Martin.
I wasn't aware that hmailserver stopped mail at the transaction stage.
Do I really need spamassassin or asap, or even mercury ?
Thanks

Re: Blocking inbound emails.. by EHLO/HELO/IP etc...
Thanks.. What's the best way to flag it as spam ? I'm wondering if it's possible to use Mercury32 as an SMTP relay to hMailServer. That way I get the transaction, content and spam filtering from mercury and all the other benefits from hMailServer. What I like in mercury is that is stops/block or fla...

Re: Blocking inbound emails.. by EHLO/HELO/IP etc...
Thanks
any links to script that would do this ?
Would this be blocked before the mail is fully received ?
Is this something either assp or spamassassin could do ?
Once I get this sorted, I'll look at moving across..

Re: Potential New User - Couple of Questions !!
Thanks for the replies. I've installed this on my test PC and am having a play. Can some one point me at an example of how I would run a batch file from a rule ? Ie: email to on@domain.com with Subject of Turn ON, run turn_on.bat email to off@domain.com with Subject of Turn OFF, run turn_off.bat Als...

Re: Potential New User - Couple of Questions !!
Thanks for the reply. 1. Rules perhaps? certainly you could script almost anything with hMailserver (if you can script) Any idea how to do this ? What language is the script in ? Would spamassassin do this type of filtering ? 2. Rules to run a function. function could call another program or command...

Potential New User - Couple of Questions !!
Hi Long time user of Mercury/32, but debating the move to hMailServer. I have a few questions: 1. Does hMailServer support anything like transaction filtering ? In Mercury I can stop mail as it hits the SMTP server. This seems to work very well 2. Can I run an external program when an Email is deliv...
