im using hms "straight out of the box" with system.web.mail and i dont recall any problems. i would reccomend switching to system.net.mail (the changes are easy and most of the syntax is the same....

its possible but not recommended. typically when you have two av's installed they compete for control but i could be wrong with clamwin. you should be able to integrate what ever you are using currently

the imap should work along with pop3. what you need to do is ensure the outlook account is a imap account. to test the outgoing function open a command prompt window and type telnet "isp smtp server" 25 if that doesnt work you might be having issues with a firewall or authentication. i am sure someo...

i was not saying it cannot be done, only it is not always the easiest thing to do. do not forget we need to keep hms a viable solution for the little guys, if another person such as your self has the necessary hardware to split it up there is no reason that you cannot take the bundled webmail client...

i wasn't impressed with lumisoft....i mean if you cannot build somehting that supports smtp auth we have issues. i didnt have the time to build my own library otherwise i would have in a heart beat. edit: you should be able to take the source from the mail client i started and just change out a coup...
