Agree with the email, that's why I mentioned to "non-paying" clients of email services. Such customers should know who their sponsor is that makes it possible for them to have free mail (aside from the hMS admin, of course.) I don't miss this function in PHPWebAdmin at all. Only mentioned it to confirm webdam was not alone and that it was not a problem as such. I use the Admin app GUI in hMS host nearly 99.9% of the time for just about anything.

Besides searching the folders for the file you want, you can also winzip the account folder.
With winzip, what you get is a list of email files that can be sorted by date or size, and the list tells you in which folder the email is in. You don't have to be bothered with empty sub-folders either.

Whitelists scares me. If a spammer gets a to know my whitelist, he knows my server's spam entry points. No, I wouldn't want to publish which addresses are whitelisted; this is information that is better kept secret... why would anyone want that information published anyway?

Yes... the metadata database will get out of sync with the eml files stored (or listed in the database as stored) in the Data folders. Best to log in the account using an email client and delete un-needed email from there.

I can only suspect that BT's trunk pipe infrastructure is not yet wide enough to accommodate the aggregate traffic that will be generated via fiber optics to the homes. I also disabled support for IMAP IDLE out of curiousity and suddenly the hMailServer utilization dropped to 0-2%. I have monitored it for the last 24 hours and everything has been running stable.
