Due to personal stuff I've had to get rid of my servers ... I've attached the latest version of HML incase anyone is still interested.
Will hopefully get back online in a couple of months, but till then, I've got no servers with fixed IPs.

yep!In your setup, you probably have 127.0.0.* set up.
Thanks Martin, top stuffThe problem is that there's no easy way to specify 127.0.0.1->8, 10-11 in hMailServer. I'm in the middle of creating a new 5.3.2-version where it's possible to do this (127.0.0.1-8|127.0.1.10-11).

Someone else had the problem in a different thread from memory ... weird ... would have thought there would be something in the logs if anyone had been on the server that shouldn't be. Don't really think my servers would be worth anyones time messing with the DNS only on for one domain to be able to...

Hi, Thanks for that Martin. I'm from the UK - both mail servers are with Fasthosts, using there DNS servers, so don't think / assume there won't be an African connection (don't see any reason for there to be). It's started to clear up over the last couple of days, but some stuff is still marked SPAM...

I attempted something similar using message flags in the database ... you'll need to do your own testing to see if it's accurate enough for you, but should give a general overview - i.e. the more mails you have then in percentage terms the more accurate I'd expect it to be. ah ... ... I think the Spamhaus database is being a bit OTT by the looks of things ... ... just had a mail from Halfords (that wasnt spam) ... but spamhaus said it was (gave it 127.0.0.255 response). Elo, Done a wireshark ... from what I can tell ... (based on my limited knowledge!) ... HMS does a DNS quiery on spamhaus ... so if you can get external DNSs resolved it should work. I did a test email from virginmedia / blueyonder ... it did 149 15.861312 213.171.198.64 213.171.193.245 DNS Standard...

lol @ matt Tezcatlipoca @ least its not just me getting failed connections ... looks like something other than a specific server issue then (hosts file hasnt changed etc on either of mine) If there failing ... not sure HMS is marking a no response as SPAM though ... doesnt seem right it should do so...

zen.spamhaus.org blacklist its screwed at the moment ... uncontactable earlier today and hms was marking everything as spam ... dont know if its a hms error thinking no response is spam score or spamhaus sending out dodgy messages ... suspect its hms failing to handle uncontactable correctly since ...

it all passed and worked ok, everything was recognised ok etc when using something like te tester check-auth@verifier.port25.com ... but still kept getting bounces from some mail servers its a crap implimentation of DomainKeys DKIM on some other servers confusing the settings between the two ... so...

Hi, zen.spamhaus is down and hmailis marking all messages sent as SPAM due to this (on my install anyway) ... when I check using other services it comes back as timeout, but hmail is considering a timeout as SPAM answer ... dont know why, its on default settings - 127.0.0.* as response codes ... jus...

I ran DKIM for a while and it was nothing but grief ... some other servers confuse the two and complained about DomainKeys not being provided, even tough I was trying to use DKIM.
Basically, just turn it off imho as its more hassle than its worth.

I've givn up trying to get spamassassin to work (probably my fault, but meh).
Found this http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/255 ... has anyone had an experiance with this / does it work? Seems an easy way to get spam and virus sorted if it does.

Elo, Your only on two ... neither of which are really a problem as there just crap lists. ips.backscatterer.org ... complains about the bounce messages (idiots) dnsbl-3.uceprotect.net ... which seems to be some limited blacklist thats done manually and some automation via there own closed systems I ...

shouldnt get blacklisted for failure messages.
Post your mail IP / check the resons why your listed on the BLs .. they usually have reason codes

Minor thing (and since its working probably wrong) ... but shouldnt your ptr be smtp.ntwnet.com to match the server address rather than just the domain?
I've always done mine to match the mail server rather than the domain ... wondering if I'm wrong now!

Make sure your anti-virus isn't crappy ... it might be that its taking up a CPU per mail, and hence with 15 threads its trying to use 15 CPUs and so slowing the thing to a crawl. ClamWin is bad at this - i.e. doesn't work on heavily loaded servers ... try TBBs ClamAV windows port (see off topic foru...

In common file/folder sharing access right, if a person belongs to multiple groups, he normally get the highest access right among the groups, not by the sequence. I think in NTFS world deny always takes presidence over allow. e.g. if user or group is granted write access to a directory in one rule...

why do you want one?
If you have no domain name then you won't be able to send mail; also, if you're on a dynamic ip 99% of servers won't accept your mail anyway as they will treat it as spam.
