Re: Banning based on sender E-mail?

Hello,

I added the function to the EventHandlers.vbs and enabled scripts. Had to correct some minor issues but now it says syntax is correct. Now it's time to wait to test.

Thank you very much!

Banning based on sender E-mail?

Hello guys, I am an extremely happy user of hMailServer since early 2009. I just love it as it is, especially because with only a few basic settings it allowed me to reduce the incoming spam amount with like... 80-85%. As from what I understood based on my research, there was a huge security leak at...

Re: Message indexing fails (5.6.4-B2283)

Oh, wow. And I thought that these emojis (what is the difference between these and emoticons btw?) are for the Facebook fans only... Thank you very much for the link, I did the necessary changes - now only to wait to see if it works. If I am not mistaken, these settings will be overwritten once a ne...

Message indexing fails (5.6.4-B2283)

I think I am experiencing the same issue as described in https://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25578 . I have lots of errors some day, all referring to the same: "ERROR" 788 "2016-02-04 12:29:47.403" "Severity: 2 (High), Code: HM5032, Source: DALConnection::Execute, Description: MySQL: I...

2 happy years now

Dear developers of HMailServer, I just want to say a HUGE thank you for the wonderful product you made. I recently checked my E-mail server LOGs and realized that it's exactly been 2 years (2008.12.31) when I switched to this program and I have to say - I'm still very happy with it :) Hope to see a ...

Re: HOWTO: CLAMAV (W32-tBB build)

Instead of using SRVANY & INSTSRV I recommend NSSM, which does basically the same job but has a few advantages compared to them: - It has a built-in watchdog, so if the application executed by NSSM crashes the service will be restarted automatically - Uses less system resources (I admit a few 100 kb...

Re: Autoban misses a few IPs...?

Yeah, I was wondering if I should post this one there but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss something.
Btw - I did a few searches and dig through all scripts... no results... YET :)

Since coding in VBScript sounds like Alien Language for me I guess I better skip trying to make one :D

Re: Autoban misses a few IPs...?

Oh, my bad... I remembered the option is called "Maximum nr. of invalid commands" under Auto-ban... just checked out and I have to admit I was wrong :P
Anyway... is there a script / a switch for / in hMailServer to ban these IPs too?
I would feel much comfortable that way :)

Autoban misses a few IPs...?

I hope I just misconfigured something :) In my meaning Auto-ban feature is to avoid unnecessary network traffic, prevent hacking attempts and prevent our LOGs to grow tooooo large because of some bad people and programs :) I already recognized a couple of times that hMailServer's Auto-ban simply ign...

Re: How to use SpamAssassin?

Awesome config!
I was just starting to panic because I already wasted like 20 hours to build / run SpamAssassin on Windows... and the first test result was a false positive... bleh :D
Then I found this config guide...

Very-very big thanks for sharing ^^

LOG File Lookup

A few days ago I successfully switched my existing mail server to hMailServer. I was browsing my LOG files and found some IPs tried to DOS the SMTP service. I made a tool which checks all of the LOG files and looks for 530 and 535 errors, collects the IP addresses and the times and prints it out to ...

Change Password Script

I was a little bit disappointed to see that there are no stand-alone change password scripts available for hMail Server, so I decided to write one by myself. The working scheme is easy to understand: it works in and updates directly the SQL table. The script was written in Perl and needs the Digest:...
