Re: .exe memory size?

Hi Martin....

yeah...I emailed the logs back when you requested them.

Logging was enabled over the weekend.

Less than 250 emails were processed once I re-enabled the Pop3 retrieval process.

Re: .exe memory size?

We are using the default db - MSSQL CE. It appears that the .exe memory starts to climb when we process POP3 retrievals via the .NET utility. Again...there are not that many incoming emails being processed by the system at this point. My testing over the weekend -- (turning off the .NET POP3 retriev...

Re: .exe memory size?

We do not send mail OUT via the hMailServer SMTP server....we use a feature of DevMail .NET component so there is NO interaction outbound with HMailServer at all. Re: .exe memory size?

Still suffering from this ongoing memory leak issue....

Restarted the service on 5/1 at 8:15EST...... as of now the hmailserver.exe is up to 209MB RAM.

Any other thought on how to go about resolving this issue?

thanks in advance.

Re: .exe memory size?

Devmail is a .NET component that is run and retrieves the mail via POP3.....no IMAP is involved.

The component is executed on the server and processes the transfer of mail to another server....on our internal network.

Re: .exe memory size?

We use a .NET component -- DevMail -- to retrieve all the incoming mail.

This component is also used for sending mail...to bypass SMTP server.

Normal people sending normal emails. Matter of fact we don't even use the SMTP server...we are using a 3rd party (.NET) product from DevMail to bypass the SMTP server.

We are using the API for creating accounts and updating account settings.

What folders need to be backed up prior to doing a version upgrade ?

I've searched with no luck so far on this...

We are currently running 5.0-B321 and periodically the hmail .exe will go a bit haywire and eat up over 1.2GB of RAM.
