during a IMAP migration I hit the same error (NO SMTP) involved
Changing the SMTP size allowed me to import mail.....

Well, as it is, PostgreSQL isn't supported. I have read and seen that PostgreSQL is quicker than MySQL. I see more and more relay servers using on access scanning. They exclude the mailserver directorys but setup one folder that allows on access scanning. THe mailserver drops every mail in 2 folders 1. excluded from on access scanning 2. included on acces scanning. It waits for 45 or 50 sec and checks...

I made a fresch install on a standard edition. Now i can create appilcation pools without problems.

if your provider blocks port 25 inbound. and you set a different portnumber you will not be able to receive mail.

not only when you use IIS FTP the users need to be in the local SAM to have acces to your system
Also by default (and you can not disable it) it is active FTP and passive FTP. you will never know when you have errors.

Here in the NL my ISP blocks port 25 for outgoing mail. for that porpose i need to relay my mail using there mailserver as relay. but for i few buck i bought a static IP. and guess what. port25 isn't blocked for me anymore. there must be an RFC to set a DNS record on what port you want to receive mail
